How are you spending your time? What have you been doing in order to stay busy? When you get bored, are you occupying your time well, or are you getting into mischief. There’s a fact that when young teenagers get bored their minds tend to wander into the unknown which usually leads them into trouble. A teenager who uses the internet when they are bored usually checks more inappropriate websites than one who is using it with more purpose and meaning. The same applies when someone is surfing the TV for something to watch. The truth is teenagers are more prone to stay out of trouble when they use their free time wisely such as hanging out with a peer group of Christian friends doing Christian things: Bible study, volunteer work, helping others out, and even group prayer. Sharing accountability with other Christians helps them to stay loyal and faithful to God and less out to fall into temptation where their lives can be changed forever by making a poor decision. So, what are you doing this summer? Hopefully it is something that will not bring shame to your character or to God’s good name.
