Do you ever truly prepare yourself for church on Sunday Morning?  I'm not talking about taking a shower, getting dressed, and brushing your teeth, I am talking about getting ready spiritually.  When we go to a church service there should be something special we feel inside us when we walk through the doors.  Our minds and hearts need to feel the presence of Gd before we ever hear the first song or word spoken.  Ask yourself this Sunday when you get up, "are you rady for worship" before you go to church. I believe that most Christians are seeing church as being a social club rather than the House of God and missing the reverence of why we go there. Each service should speak to our soul about the matters we are dealing with in our lives and influence our futures.  God wants to be a part of His worship services, but we have to invite Him in.
Church services need to be a time for heavy hearts to pour out its sufferings, pain, praise, and laughter. It is a time for people to make things right for all the things they do wrong. It should be a time to disarm ourselves from all distractions and fully focus on God and His Words. We may be at church physically, but we need to be at church spiritually to actually make it count.  So again this Sunday when you get up and get ready for church, ask yourself before you leave home "are you rady for worship" and remember that it takes more than just you being at church to be a faithful member......you have to take part.
"Always remember when the church doors are open for service, you need to be prepared before you go in"

MISSION TRIP 2013

With Mission Trip 2013 now in the books, we can take a look back at what we accomplished last week and begin to build toward next year’s trip.  Panama City was a success!!!! Our youth group was highly praised by those at the Salvation Army for our efforts, work, and lives that were touched.  We performed many different tasks from sorting and packaging foods, cleaning yards and apartment rooms, sorting donated items, office work, and even some painting.  We had a great combination of volunteer work, Bible study time, and then activities to balance out our week.  I felt as though this was the best Mission Trip we had organized since I have been youth pastor here.  I was very pleased with our work and felt our youth group really impacted those we come in contact with.  We don’t do the work for the praise, but it was great to hear so we may have something to build on for next year.  We thank God for a safe trip and want to thank our church family for all of your support and finances to make this trip possible.  With all of our heart we say THANK YOU!!!!!!  Please join us in prayer as we begin to pray for next year.  A lot of prayer and planning go into our trips and we welcome the extra prayers from our church family.

MISSION TRIP 2013

With our Mission Trip less than 1 week away, we are asking for your prayers to be on us next week as we travel to the coast for our 2013 Mission Trip.  We are excited for this opportunity to go and serve the area of Panama City, Florida through the local Salvation Army.  We have been in prayer almost a year for this trip and we ask God to bless our efforts so that we may touch the lives of those we come in contact with and allow His Name to be lifted high through all we do.  Our goals are to work hard and grow closer together while we are away so we can be a shining light for God when we return.  Our plans are to arrive Monday night with mission work scheduled for all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday will be a free day to relax and we will return Saturday.  We will also be working on a week-long Bible study entitled iGro.  This curriculum focuses on how to have a quiet time, effective prayer, the importance of Scripture memorization, journaling, and principles of discipleship.  We are excited and look forward to next week and what God has in store for us while we are gone.  None of this would be possible without the help and prayers from our church family and we thank you for loving our students!

Mission Miles

We are asking for your help with the expense of 2 van rentals and gas.  We estimate the cost of the vans/gas to be around $1500.  We greatly appreciate all the support given to us by our church family.  If you would like to donate, please write “Mission Miles” on your offering envelope.
