“How Great is Our God”
 
Psalms 104:1-2 “O Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.  He wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the Heavens like a tent.”

Several years ago singer/song writer Chris Tomlin penned one of the greatest praise and worship songs of all times entitled How Great is our God.  “Name above all names, You are worthy of our praise, and my heart will sing how great is our God”.   I hope you enjoyed the Indescribable message last week.  How awesome it is to be reminded that we serve a HUGE God…I think a lot of times we are very self-centered and think it is all about us…here on earth, doing our thing each and every day.  When in all reality, it is truly and solely about God; who He is and what He created.  If you missed out last Sunday night, you have an opportunity this Sunday night to watch part 2 of Louie’s message – How Great is Our God.

It’s hard to believe, but our summer mission trip is only a week and a half weeks away!  We are asking for your help with the expense of 2 van rentals and gas.  We estimate the cost of the vans/gas to be around $1500.  We greatly appreciate all the support given to us by our church family.  If you would like to donate, please write “Mission Miles” on your offering envelope.  We also ask for your prayers as we make final preparations.  Please pray for our students and also for those they will come into contact with.

We want to say a special thank you to our graduation committee for decorating, serving, and helping out with the graduation service this past Sunday.  I know our graduates appreciated it!  Congratulations again to those who graduated High School and College.

“Indescribable”

Psalms 19 says “The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”  Do you ever wonder about the magnitude of God’s creation?  I know we live here on earth and we see the sun and the moon and the stars every day, but do you ever look into the sheer wonder of the universe God spoke into being?  This Sunday night May 26th for our PM Service, we are showing a message by Pastor Louie Giglio entitled “Indescribable”.  This is part 1 of a 2-part series I will show over the next couple of weeks.  Pastor Louie uses our universe to describe God’s greatness and leaves you in awe of how indescribable God truly is.  Our students and workers have seen these videos countless times, but it seems to never get old to them and I encourage you all to come and watch these 2 videos because they will leave with no doubt about how great our God truly is!

May 26th and June 2nd during  the PM Services we will show 2 video sermons by Pastor of Passion City Church in  Atlanta, Georgia entitled “Indescribable” and “How Great is Our God”.   These 2 videos will take you into the depths of the universe to illustrate how  great and awesome our God truly is.  I encourage you to please be here

Do you know what it’s like to be held accountable for something and to know you have to take responsibility for your actions and life style? In fact, that is what accountability actually means, to be or take responsibility for your
actions. The world is a very difficult place and for us to stay accountable to a Christian lifestyle we need an accountability partner to help us along the way. 

An accountability partner is someone special in your life you can rely on above and beyond an ordinary friend, someone who will listen and understand your needs and will pray with you when you need them to.  When we choose our friends, we need to choose the ones that will help us maintain accountability with our Christian lifestyles and not wander off into a life of sin.  A good friend will step in and tell you when you’re doing wrong and help you to stay on track.  We are all faced with many obstacles in our journey to becoming the best Christian possible and a good accountability partner can help you in becoming what God calls us to be and do.
 
An Accountability Partner will always stand behind you to catch you when you fall.
