We continue to ask for your prayers as we are taking some vacation time to rejuvenate and refocus. 

WooHoo!!!  School’s out for Summer!  This week will be a time of Fellowship and Fun at the City Park in Mantachie.  Meet at the field for a game time of 6:00pm.  Please bring your gloves (and extra if you have them), bats, and your team spirit and “Let’s Play Ball”. 

NEXT WEDNESDAY
Next week we will meet back in the Amphitheatre for our regular service.  I look forward to seeing all of you back at our church at our normal meeting time of 6:45pm.  Hope to see you then.

UPCOMING FUND RAISER
We will have a BBQ Luncheon on Sunday June 6th following the Sunday morning service in the Fellowship Hall.  All proceeds will go towards our SOAR 2010 youth trip to Dallas, TX.  Please show your support and help us to reach our goal.

PRAISE BAND
There will be no Praise Band this week, but we will be practice at our regular time next week.

Next Week
We meet at the City Park for a couple of games of softball.  I encourage you to invite your friends and bring your bats and glove.  Game time will start at 6:00pm.

PRAISE BAND
There will be no Praise Band for the next 2 weeks.  Enjoy some time off and listen to your new cd.  We will begin to practice our new songs soon.

Our Backyard Service is this week and will start at 6:00pm at Bro. Trent’s house.  The church van will leave the church at 5:45pm.   We are in the midst of yard renovations, so we encourage everyone to ride on the van.  If you must take your own car, please carpool and park along the roadside near my mailbox to prevent a traffic jam in my driveway.  We will serve hamburgers, hotdogs, and ice cream.  We will also have some outdoor activities and most important, a devotional.  I hope you don’t miss out this week and hope to see you Wednesday at my house.  
 
TEAM POINTS
Congratulations to the “OREOS” team who won the team competition this semester.  For your hard work, your team will be going to Chucky Cheese Pizza one Saturday in a few weeks.

There will be no Praise Band for the next 3 weeks.  Enjoy some time off and listen to your new cd’s so we can practice some new music. 

Do you consider yourself to be a wise person?  If so, where did this wisdom come from:  fortune cookies, internet, wise old owl, or some other source?  The truth is, a wise person listens to God before all other resources.  When we need an answer or make a decision on something, we spend too much time seeking everyone’s approval and trying to please them instead of asking God and waiting on Him to answer.  This can make the difference in a wise person and a foolish one.  Which one are you?
