We will have a special guest speaker this Wednesday night.  Bro. Brian Prochaska will be sharing Part 1 of a 2 part message on “Parent/Teen Relationships”.   It is difficult enough to raise a teenager in the society we live in, but when the relationship between the parents and teen is bad…….it gets very difficult.  
 
Video Scavenger Hunt
This week we are having our video scavenger hunt in Mantachie.  If you have not signed up for a time slot, please do so this Wednesday night or call me.  The deadline for having them completed is Saturday.  Remember, the more members you have present, the more points you can earn for your team.

Spring Retreat
This past Saturday we had our first retreat with the teenagers and although the weather didn’t quiet cooperate, we still had a blast.
We spent the day at The Jamie Whitten center in Fulton where we were able to “Saturate” ourselves in God’s word with the book called Saturate, dealing with evangelism.  There were 18 who participated in the retreat and we are planning on scheduling a 2nd one in the next month or so.  Thanks for all who attended.

How’s your self-esteem?  Do you suffer from thinking you are never good enough and just don’t measure up?  If you do, you are not alone.

This week’s message is dealing with your self-esteem and the pressure of fitting in.  Some of you probably don’t stop to think how much pressure teenagers have in their lives, but I assure you that it is a lot.  We are going to pick up this week’s lesson where last week’s left off and see how we can improve our self-esteem in how we live our lives.      

“Don’t be pressured with not having the perfect face, body, intelligence, money, job, or car; as long as you are giving your best to God…..nothing else matters.”

Bake Sale results
With the help of all the donated desserts for our Youth Bake Sale this past Saturday, we were able to raise $725 for our trip to Dallas, TX this summer.  Thanks for all of your help.

EXCELLENT JOB LAST WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I really enjoyed your energy level.  Don’t let up and be prepared to practice this Wednesday night at 5:45pm SHARP!!! I would like to look at a new song so be ready.

This week is NERD night at The Main Event.  We want everyone to dress the part, walk the walk, and of course, laugh the laugh.  We are paying our respects to the Geeks of the world, who we are all jealous of.  We are having a “best dressed Nerd” contest, and see who has the best NERD laugh.  We will be using our fellow NERDS as one example of how people shouldn’t single out other people just because they seem different than ourselves.  We are also going to look at how NERDS helped make it very easy to witness using state of the art “gadgets” and technology.   Please bring your best NERD impression and yes; it is OK to be square this week.
