Congratulations to Nicole Moore! Nicole accepted Christ into her heart this past Wednesday night. It’s always exciting to see students come forward and give their life to Christ. Please pray for Nicole as she starts her new journey with Christ. God is good!!!

God always sees us as His precious gifts, priceless treasures in his Kingdom. Why does He see us this way? Because we are created in His image – and nothing could be more precious and special than to be created in the image of God Himself!

This is why we must always keep in mind that He is always shaping us and conforming us to His character. He wants us to become more like Him in every way. God is the potter and we are the clay. He shapes us to His own purposes, making us into worthy vessels to be filled with His Holy Spirit. When we submit and surrender our will to our God, He will shape and mold us according to His will and more closely to His image every day.

This week Bro. Charles will be sharing a message of tempering. Tempering is a process used by peolple to mold glass or shape metal. Just how a potter slowly pefects pottery, God slowly pefects us to his will.

A Great Run

Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,”

It has been a great ministry for us here at FBC Mantachie over the years. As I look back at our time spent here, I can see and feel a huge difference in my life spiritually. There have been many first time experiences here such as asking Christ into my life, teaching my first lesson, taking my first Sunday School class, leading my first song, my first youth group, surrendering to the ministry, becoming youth pastor for the past nine and a half years and many other things that God has allowed me to be a part of. In everything I have done and taught our students over the years, bringing honor and glory to God and our church in all we do for Him always rated at the top. Now that God has decided to move us into another ministry, these same principles will again apply to all I teach the Word of God to. As it says in Hebrews 12:1, we must overcome the obstacles in our lives and stay the course in which He sets out in front of us. By doing so, we are being obedient to Him and what He stands for. It has been a great run for us here and we do ask for your sincere prayers through this next journey and ministry God has laid out for us. We love each of you dearly and thank you for all the support throughout these years we have gotten to serve together. May God continue to bless First Baptist Church of Mantachie for all of its years. I will be in prayer for the student ministries here as they continue to move forward and search for the next leader to continue teaching and leading its youth for years to come.

A Special Thank you Church Family

Rebecca and I want to take a moment and say a special thank you for this past Sunday’s service held in our honor. We want to thank you for the love, gifts, and food that was prepared for us during this time. We know there was much hard work put in to make this service possible and we were both very grateful for all that was said and done on our behalf. We want you to know that you will all be missed very much by us and we ask for you to please pray for us as we begin this new phase of our lives. God has and will be watching over us during this transition but we want our church family and friends to be in prayer, as you already have been, that this new ministry becomes a success in the eyes of God. We love you and will miss you.

Sharing the Blessings
Over the past several weeks God has blessed our church with 15 new students and adults who have been saved and/or joined our church. This is truly the hands of God at work at FBC Mantachie and I look forward to spending my last Sunday here with 3 more baptisms. Praise God for all He does for us and for adding members to our church.
