Many times in life we want to get God’s leading direction for our lives. We hope that God will appear in a giant cloud or send an angel to tell us the next thing we are to do. Often, we expect that thing to be a big leap into the future. And while God can at times lead us this way, many times God leads us through smaller things.
That is what this verse is talking about. This verse tells us that our steps are directed by God. God is directing the small things in life. He shows us one small thing to do, then another, followed by another. All those steps together add up to something really great God has for us to do. Most of the people who did great things for God did it in small steps and stages. In the Bible David killed the lion and the bear before defeating the giant. This shows us that it is often the small choices and the small steps me make each day that end up making a big difference in the course of our lives. So today remember to act on the small things that God is putting on your heart to do. Those small things often end up setting you up for big things later in life. Bro. Brian ------------------------------------------------- THANKS Thanks again to Ashley Thompson for sharing with us this past Wednesday. Prices on the shirts range from $10 to $18 dollars each. The styles we have are regular tees, comfort fit tees, Dri-Fit tees and cotton hoodies. I will have an order sheet in the foyer this Sunday if you are interested. ----------------------------------------------------------See You At the Pole (SYATP) 2017 is Wednesday, September 27. For the over 25 years, See You at the Pole has been about one simple act—prayer. SYATP is still about students uniting themselves in prayer before God interceding for their generation. I will have some information and flyers to pass out this Wednesday night. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Phil 4:7
This verse sounds great! We all want peace in our lives. It’s funny though how often we don’t experience peace. We live life full of worry, anxiety and fear. We often look at what is going wrong instead of focusing on what is going right. By doing these things, we often miss the peace that God intended for our lives. God wants us to walk in His peace each day. The thing is, it’s up to us to make the decision to live in peace. We can choose to be upset about what’s going on in the world, or things happening at school instead of being thankful and focusing on what is going right in our lives. God loves us and will always take care of us. Today, choose to walk in God’s peace. Choose to live a life full of peace and joy knowing that God will always take care of you! See you Wednesday! Bro. Brian LET's CAN HUNGER! ----------------------------------------------- Each Wednesday night I am challenging our students to bring a canned food item to service. We want to donate these food items to our local Mantachie food pantry! Let’s do this and help fight hunger in our local community. ---------------------------------------------- MAIN EVENT T-SHIRTS We are selling Main Event T-shirts if any of our church members are interested.
