Preparing for Mission Atlanta
Our mission trip is set for May 23-28, in Atlanta, GA.  Our plans are to work at the Ronald McDonald house in Atlanta where the Jenkins family stayed during Lindsay’s therapy.  Please join us in prayer as our students prepare to minister and give back to those so special to this family.   

Belk Charity Sale Tickets
The Main Event teens are selling tickets to the Belk Charity Event Sale set for April 16th, from 6am-10am.  The ticket gets you in the door for this special sale event and offers great discounts throughout the store.  If you are one of the first 100 customers in the store that day you will receive a free gift card that could be up to $1000 in value.

Teenagers For Hire
You can hire out a teenager and help them to help you.  This gives our students a chance to help you do chores, yard work, or other tasks while you pay them $10/hour and help send them on our Mission Trip.  Please call Bro. Trent if you need to hire a teen.

Youth Softball Tournament Fundraiser
Our youth softball tournament was moved to the weekend of April 8-9th.  If you know of a church team who is interested in playing, please have them contact me or Mark Jenkins to sign up.

Do you know the difference between a reason and an excuse? We use both of these daily, and more often than you think we use excuses more than reasons.  How does it make you feel when someone stands you up for a lunch or movie date with some off-the-wall excuse instead of giving you a true reason why they didn’t want to come.  It has happened to all of us at some point, or we have done it to someone ourselves. Whether we tell the little white lie of why we couldn’t be on time for Sunday school, why we missed Wednesday night services, or why we couldn’t get our homework done……you get the picture. We are full of excuses.  This week we are going to establish the difference between a reason and an excuse.

SPRING SOFTBALL GAME
Next week is our Spring Break Softball game at the Mantachie City Park beginning at 6pm.  Please invite a friend and be ready to have an exciting evening of Softball and Fellowship.

Have you ever asked why I enjoy working with teenagers?  Well, just in case you have, I have put together the top 7 reasons for you to see.  Let’s start with number 7:

7. Cats spend much of their day grooming themselves; I wonder why teens can’t spend 10 minutes?
6. They truly make me feel uneducated when they talk video games and multi-media
5. What about giving them advice?  It don’t matter, because they always seem to know more.
4. When did it become the cool thing to paint your hair…..a different color each week?
3. Energy, energy, energy…..how in the world do I ever keep up?
2. Stay out of my yard. By the way, I have an endless supply of toilet paper…..year round.
1. I am reminded daily why I don’t want kids of my own.

I really do love our teenagers and I do thank God that I am able to work with them.  May God bless them as they grow in a world that sets them up for failure?  Please pray for our Teenagers.

FUNDRAISER REMINDER
I wanted to remind everyone that our Youth Fundraiser Softball Tournament will be held on March 4th and 5th at the City Park Softball Field.  If you are signed up for this summer’s Mission Trip, you need to make plans on being there to help work.
