Thank you for your prayers
I want to thank my church family for all of your support over the years and especially now with the calling and decision to surrender to the Ministry.  Please continue to pray for me and Rebecca as we lead the youth here at FBC Mantachie, and to further mature us into whatever God has in store for our future. 

Riddle Me This?
You know when I was growing up, I always liked Batman movies, and still do today.  When I think of Batman movies, The Riddler always comes to mind.  Here’s a guy who always turns something into a puzzle or twists things around to manipulate people.  Do you fall into the same category as the Riddler when you try and convince your friends and family that you are a Christian, or do you actually mean it?  This question is for you to decide as we discuss being a “luke warm” Christian this Wednesday night.

 ATTENTION MAIN EVENTers
School is just around the corner and summer is almost gone.  Sorry for the discouragement, but I said that to say this…..it is time to get back to church on Wednesday nights for Bible study and fellowship.  We will be back in the amphitheatre for the remaining of summer and our Welcome Back Night is set for August 12th.  We are hoping that all of you are getting fired up about what God will have in store for us this semester.

Praise Band
Praise band will meet and practice this week at 5:45pm.  Please be there on time and ready to get back in gear.

As we are on the downhill side of summer, we will have one more night of activities before the new semester begins.  This Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00pm we will be at the softball field located at the Mantachie City Park.  I want to encourage you to join us this week for an exciting night of softball and fellowship.  Take this opportunity to invite someone with you who may be looking for a church home, or perhaps invite someone who hasn’t been to church in awhile.

Praise Band
No praise band practice this week.

This Wednesday night we will watch a video by Louie Giglio called “Satisfaction”.  This video focuses on what satisfies us physically and spiritually.  Louie really brings out the point that everything we do should be for the glory of God and that we should do it with “ALL” our heart.  Please come this Wednesday night and have a wonderful time in Main Event as we come together and watch this video.  Hope to see you Wednesday at 7:00pm.

SOAR RECAP
This week we will be on our regular schedule for our 7:00 service in the amphitheatre.  Please make a point to be here this week as we share what God blessed us with at SOAR in Dallas, TX.  We will show some photos and try to put into words what took place during the week.  We will also share about our mission work with “Mission Arlington”.

This week our youth and sponsors are in Dallas, TX attending SOAR 2009 “We got to Come Together” Conference.  We ask for your prayers for safety while we travel; and also for our students to grow closer to God and each other as we will learn about Fellowship.  In addition to the conference, we will have a day of mission work and sharing God’s love with others, as we participate in “Mission Arlington”.  We are due to arrive back in Mantachie late this Friday night.  Thank you again church family for making this trip possible for us to be going on; we couldn’t have done it without you.
