Luke 10:27 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, love your neighbor as yourself”
Most people I know have “welcome mats” on their front porch, in their carports or just inside the door. If you’re like me, any time I go into someone’s house I always make sure to wipe my feet on the door mat. I don’t want to track in any dirt on their floor or carpet! Whenever I see a “welcome mat” I think of Luke 10:27, loving your neighbor as yourself. As Christians, Jesus taught us to love our neighbor as ourselves. This includes welcoming new comers to our church. My question to you: do we welcome strangers in our church with open arms? Do new comers see a smile on our face when they attend our church? Do we speak to them? This week I will be sharing a lesson entitled “The Welcome Mat”. In a couple weeks we will be having our Main Event welcome back night. I want to make sure we welcome back our other students with open arms!!
Reminders…
The OutCry concert is August 7th. If you purchased a ticket please remember to be at the church by 3:30. We need to leave as quickly as possible so we can stop to eat before the concert.
Welcome Back Night is set for August 12th. Please plan on being a part of it!
