This Wednesday night will be our 1st New Year’s Party in the amphitheatre. Activities will include:
*Watching “Chronicles of Narnia 2 Prince Caspian”
*Pizza and snacks
*Games and Giveaways
*Music and Videos

The cost to attend is $5.00 per student to help buy the food and drinks.
**The time will be from 8:00-12:15.  This is not a lock-in, so make plans to have someone pick you up after midnight.

No praise band practice this week.  We will start back on January 7th.

What if...Christ would’ve been born in today’s society?  I can see it now.  A great spectacle of the Lord’s coming.  Mary and Joseph would be flown to Beverly Hills for the royal treatment and the birth would be a worldwide event.  Interviews by Letterman, Larry King, The Today Show, and Oprah would be televised for weeks.  Every news broadcast would be there waiting just to get the first look at this Jesus.  Or would they? Can’t you see the headlines?
 
Just how would the world react today to the birth of our Savior?

When we think of hero’s, who comes to mind? Is it Superman, Batman, Spiderman, or even Captain Caveman?  When we picture our heroes, we usually look at what kind of super powers they have or what kind of flying ability, when we really should be looking at how realistic they truly are.  This week I want us to take a look at “The True Hero”….Our Creator!!!!!!!

Praise Band
Praise band will meet this week at 5:45.  Please be on time.

This week our “Main Event drama team” will be helping with the lesson dealing with the temptation of Jesus found in Luke 4:1-13.  We use a comical baseball game illustration to show how Satan tried to tempt Jesus into sin.

This Friday night
This Friday night will be guys and girls night out.  Guys will meet with Bro. Trent in the amphitheatre at 6:00 for a night of activities, food, and a devotion.  The girls will meet at our house with Ms Rebecca at 6:00.
