Are you grateful?  This week we are going to watch Tony Nolan’s video entitled “Gratitude”.  Please be here Wednesday night for this exciting lesson on gratitude.

With summer winding down, it is important to remember we owe it to God to be faithful to Him on Wednesday nights.  Please encourage each other to attend church regularly and faithfully.

If you are interested in the new leadership group, sign your name on the sheet located on the Main Events board in the amphitheatre.  Our first meeting will be held on Sunday August 3rd.  I encourage those who sign up to be prepared to get serious about serving God.

Praise band will meet at 6:00 this week for practice.

This week I look forward to sharing God’s word with you.  We have had a busy summer, and it is time to begin refocusing on God.  As we begin making plans for the Fall semester, we hope you will begin to pray for a stronger and more faithful youth group. We are praying that you will come to church each week ready to soak up the good news we have in store for you.

MISSION ROMANIA:

We will begin a new leader outreach program this fall.  If you are in grades 9-12 and have a passion for loving others, please check out this opportunity.  There will be a sign-up sheet posted Wednesday night for those interested.  Our first meeting will be Sunday, August 3.

This has been a busy summer so far, and this week we should be getting things back in order.  With summer camps, youth trips and VBS behind us, we can begin to settle back into our regular worship services. 
This week Shaw Engle will be sharing God’s word with us.  Please pray for Shaw as he prepares his message and allows God to shine through him as he teaches.

Praise band will meet at 5:45 this week for practice.  We have had a long lay off so please be on time.

Our SOAR trip was such a blessing!  We grew together as a group as the 19 of us set out to learn more about Worship. I hope and pray each of our teenagers learned as much as we did and will apply what they learned to their lives.  At the end of the conference I left them with one question:  “What are you prepared to do?”

A HUGE thank you to our sponsors, Angela Moore and Brian Prochaska, who helped us keep everyone together through the airports, hotels, and everywhere else we went.  Your help was most appreciated and we know God will bless you for giving of your time!

This week there will be no Main Event because Vacation Bible School will be taking place throughout the church.  I encourage all of you to pray for VBS this week.  We pray for souls to be saved through this ministry. 
Next week we will meet back in the amphitheatre for The Main Event at our regular time.  I hope you are having a safe and wonderful summer and hope to see you next week.
