Ugly is defined by words such as: Unpleasant; disagreeable; repulsive; likely to cause trouble or loss; as, an ugly rumor; an ugly customer.  The word ugly is used to describe people, places, the way people talk, and even an attitude.  When we step out of our Christian ways and “go with the flow” of the world, I guess you can say that Ugly Happens!  We need to be very careful at how we act when we claim to be a Christian. Being perverse and talking bad are ways the world is getting to be OK with, but not God.

THE YOUTH PASTOR STRENGTH TEST
See how you measure up for this Spiritual Strength Test:
1. God is always there-  Remember to trust in God.  When you face a struggle or difficult time  God is there to help you through it.    Deuteronomy 31:6
2. Read your Bibles daily- It is important when we want to get stronger to have our daily nutrition.  A growing Christian needs his Bible daily. Joshua 1:8
3. Participation- It is important for Christians to practice what they learn.  Don’t be afraid to put to practice what you learn.  This helps us to get stronger. Philippians 4:13
4. Help those in need- Don’t leave a struggling Christian behind.  Always be prepared to help those who are struggling.  Knowing what to say helps us stay accountable for the future.
Psalms 29:11

Well, how did you measure up?  If you follow these 4 principles, you can become a stronger Christian for yourself and for those around you.

One thing I have learned during the many years of taking photographs is that if you don’t have your camera in clear focus your pictures will look bad. With that being said have you ever noticed how our lives can be the same way?  First, we have everything going our way and then in the blink of an eye we lose focus on what’s going on around us and Ka-Pow!!! We fall down and go Boom.  Sin is sneaky, and if you don’t stay on your toes and keep your focus, then the picture of your future will not look good.  So, keep your eyes on the prize and focus on God.
