This Wednesday night Bro. Mark Jenkins will be sharing the message with our youth group.  Please be in prayer for him as he prepares what God has in store for our young people.

IN NEED OF PRAYER!
We ask for your continued prayers for our student Blaine Underwood and his family after the passing of his mother last Wednesday.  Blaine is active in our youth group and has been part of our church for years growing up through our Awana program. 

YOUTH YARD SALE:
-Youth Yard Sale is scheduled for October 8th. The church trailer is cleaned out and ready to be filled up again.  If you have any donations for our 2nd yard sale, please bring them by the church and we can store them in the trailer in the lower garage.  

We are off to a good start raising money for next summer’s mission trip.  Please keep us in your prayers as we look forward to serving God wherever He leads us to next summer.

Would you go through the fire for God?
I’ve been asked to do many things to show my love and obiedience for God, but getting burned hasn’t been one of them.  What about Shadrach Meshach and Abednego?  Their faith was truly tested when put into the firey furnace for disobeying the King, but obeying their God.  It’s funny how things work out sometimes when we have faith in what we believe in.  God can and will protect you for taking a stand against the evils of this world as He did for Shadrach Meshach and Abednego.

Daniel 3:25-29- Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

-Smart Cards are still available for $15 each.  Please see one of our youth workers, teenagers, or myself to purchase one.  Each card has lots of discounts that can be used in Lee County stores for up to 1 year!!!!!

This week is free night.  We’re giving away everything.  The music is free, it doesn’t cost you anything to come and enjoy free praise music.  We have free fellowship!!! A great chance to see other young christians for no cost to you.  And most important we have God’s Word absolutely free.  Come out and here the Word of God without paying one cent.  Why take the chance and miss out on this great opportunity to get free stuff. With an offer like this, how can you say no?   Hope to see ya Wednesday night!!!
 
How can teenagers become more interested in getting God’s Word rather than free pizza, prizes, drinks, or gadgets?  Why is it that our students are losing their motivation to get the fundamentals of what they actually need?  All of these are good questions, but they are questions that I don’t have an answer for.  Please pray that our students will become less lazy and more excited about what Jesus Christ has to offer.  We can all lend a hand by praying; will you pray for our students today?
