There will be no mid-week Main Event service this week.  We are in Atlanta, Georgia on a Mission Trip.  Please pray for myself, Rebecca, Mark Jenkins, and 17 of our students as we share God’s love with those in the Atlanta area.  Please pray for our safety and well being while we are gone and we look forward to sharing this experience when we return Saturday afternoon. 

Backyard Service June 1st
Next week is our Backyard Service at the Farris’ home, not far from the church.  We will start the evening off with Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and snacks; then we will split into teams for a game of kickball.  This should be a fun night of fellowship and good times to start off the summer.  
 

When you think of deeds, do you think of selfish acts you “have” to do out of spite or command, or do you think of things you do that help and encourage others out of love?  Our deeds are a way we show our faith to those around us with a loving heart.  They should be done because we want to do them and because we need to do them.  God showed us how to perform good deeds in how He treated those around Him at all times; showing respect, love, kindness, and good will.  Have you performed a good act or deed lately?  If you haven’t, maybe it’s time to show others that your faith in Jesus is still going strong. 

Youth BBQ Luncheon
We want to say a big thank you to our church family and friends who helped our youth raise over $1200 this past Sunday at our BBQ Luncheon.  This will help get us ready for our upcoming Mission Trip to Atlanta.

MISSION MILES
We are under a month until our mission trip to Atlanta, GA, May 23-28.  We will be working with Atlanta Children’s rehab, where Lindsay Paige stayed.  We will be cooking, cleaning, painting, and crafts.  We are also spending a day at the Atlanta Food Bank.  We have been in much prayer for this mission trip, our students, and the people they will come in contact with.  Please join us in praying for God's guidance as we prepare to open our hearts and minister to those in need.  If you would like to donate money to our Summer Mission Trip to help pay for gas, food, and supplies, you can do so by putting your money in an offering envelope and make it out to FBC Student Ministries or for MISSION MILES.  Thank you very much.
