When you think of deeds, do you think of selfish acts you “have” to do out of spite or command, or do you think of things you do that help and encourage others out of love? Our deeds are a way we show our faith to those around us with a loving heart. They should be done because we want to do them and because we need to do them. God showed us how to perform good deeds in how He treated those around Him at all times; showing respect, love, kindness, and good will. Have you performed a good act or deed lately? If you haven’t, maybe it’s time to show others that your faith in Jesus is still going strong.
Youth BBQ Luncheon
We want to say a big thank you to our church family and friends who helped our youth raise over $1200 this past Sunday at our BBQ Luncheon. This will help get us ready for our upcoming Mission Trip to Atlanta.
MISSION MILES
We are under a month until our mission trip to Atlanta, GA, May 23-28. We will be working with Atlanta Children’s rehab, where Lindsay Paige stayed. We will be cooking, cleaning, painting, and crafts. We are also spending a day at the Atlanta Food Bank. We have been in much prayer for this mission trip, our students, and the people they will come in contact with. Please join us in praying for God's guidance as we prepare to open our hearts and minister to those in need. If you would like to donate money to our Summer Mission Trip to help pay for gas, food, and supplies, you can do so by putting your money in an offering envelope and make it out to FBC Student Ministries or for MISSION MILES.
