This Sunday, May 1st, our Youth will have a BBQ Luncheon immediately following the Sunday morning worship service.  We are serving BBQ by Jim’s meat, chips, baked beans, slaw, dessert, and tea for $7 a plate. 

MISSION MILES
We are under a month until our mission trip to Atlanta, GA, May 23-28.  We will be working with Atlanta Children’s rehab, where Lindsay Paige stayed.  We will be cooking, cleaning, painting, and crafts.  We are also spending a day at the Atlanta Food Bank.  We have been in much prayer for this mission trip, our students, and the people they will come in contact with.  Please join us in praying for God's guidance as we prepare to open our hearts and minister to those in need.  If you would like to donate money to our Summer Mission Trip to help pay for gas, food, and supplies, you can do so by putting your money in an offering envelope and make it out to FBC Student Ministries or for MISSION MILES.  Thank you very much.

Movie Night

Movie Night is this Saturday starting at4:00 p.m.  We will show a double feature:  Tangled and Cutback.  Cost is $4.  This includes food and drinks for the night.

As we get ready to celebrate Easter this Sunday, let us not forget the true meaning of this Holiday.  Easter is not just about hiding eggs, eating chocolate and sweets, and visiting the Easter bunny.  Easter is about remembering that our Savior, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for our sins, and He rose from the grave.  As you celebrate Easter this Sunday, I hope you take the opportunity to remember how God has blessed you.  He gave His life for you…what are you giving to Him?

When we feel at our worse, God can lift us from the grief we bear and give us a reason to smile and find joy.  If we have the Lord in our hearts and lives, we should always have a reason to feel a mighty joy that only God can give us.

Belk Charity Sale Tickets
The Main Event teens are selling tickets to the Belk Charity Event Sale set for April 16th, from 6am-10am.  Please see one of our students or Main Event workers to purchase tickets.

Youth Softball Tournament Fundraiser
Our youth softball tournament is scheduled for this weekend April 8-9th.  If you would like to donate can drinks, bottled water, hotdog and hamburger buns, or chips please bring them to the church fellowship hall this week during church working hours.  We will use these in the concession stand throughout the day to help in our fundraising efforts for our Mission Trip to Atlanta.  We appreciate your support.
