This week we will have a guest speaker sharing God’s Word with us.  Charles Sanderson is sharing a message about how we should be the “Salt” for God to those around us.  Please show Charles your support by being here this Wednesday night and listening to him as he shares God’s word with us.
 
**Next Wednesday will be “nerd night”.  Dress like a nerd and get points for your team.  We will also have a best dressed nerd contest to see who is the nerdiest.  Also, we will see who has the worse laugh!  Be supportive and help your team earn some points.

Praise Band
Awesome job last week learning the new song and having it ready the service.  I really appreciate everyone chipping in and doing what needs to be done.  I have another new song I would like for us to learn this week.  Practice will be at 5:45 this week. 

I hope all of you had a wonderful Spring Break and are ready to get back to business. This week we will continue our 2 part series dealing with Praise and Worship.  As we left off discussing the differences in Praise and Worship, this week we will emphasize what Worship actually is and how it should be used.  Just remember when we want to experience genuine worship, it should be “ALL” for Him.
 
We had a wonderful time last week playing softball and I want to personally thank each of you for taking the time out of your spring break to come and fellowship as a youth group.  I also want to thank each of you adults who helped with the game and cheering section too.  I love each and every one of you.

Chris Tomlin concert next Tuesday
For those attending the Chris Tomlin concert in Memphis next Tuesday March 31st, here is what we are planning to do.  We will meet at the church at 3:15pm to load the van and we need to leave by 3:30pm.  We will stop at Southaven to grab a “quick” bite to eat on our way to the FedEx Forum where we will see the concert.  We should be back to Mantachie around 11:30 or 12:00 (depending on traffic).

Praise band will practice this week at 5:45pm.
Please be on time because we are looking at a new song or two.  Keep up the good work!!!!

Wednesday night will be our Spring Softball game at Mantachie Park.  We will start at 6:00pm, so make a note of the time change.  Be sure you remember to bring your bat and glove and be ready to have a wonderful time of fellowship.

For the next two lessons we have together, I am going to talk to you about the difference in Praise and Worship.  Some people believe these two words mean the same thing, when in fact, they are different.  This week we are going to get started with a discussion of praising God.  What does it mean to give God praise?  How do we show our God we want to give Him praise?  This week we will look at David’s writings in the Psalms to see how he expresses ways to praise God.
