How well do you know your youth group?  This week we will turn our attention to the topic of “Fellowship” by introducing a new Main Event slogan, “One Fellowship, One Youth Group”.  Those of us who went to SOAR this past summer remember how important Fellowship is in order to keep and maintain a youth group.  Wednesday we are going to look at the basics of how to apply Fellowship to your church and how to make an impact by doing so.

STUDENT LOUNGE
Don’t forget if you get here early on Wednesday nights to stop by the student lounge for games and activities.  This is a new hang-out spot that is now open from 6:00-7:00 each Wednesday night for our students to come inside and fellowship with each other while they wait on Main Event to begin.  Be sure to check it out. 

PRAISE BAND
Praise band will meet at 5:45 this week for practice.  Please be on time.  I am hoping we will have time to take a look at a new song or two.

Have you had something that meant a lot to you and misplaced it or a close friend you lost touch with?  After awhile you forget all about them and something or someone else captures your attention.  Then days, months, or even years down the road….it turns up or you bump into that special friend you were so close to.  God can be the same way when you lose focus and something else captures your attention.  Then one day when you least expect it…you bump into God once again.

College Class “CHAOS” begins Wednesday
Our new Wednesday night College class begins this week called CHAOS (Christians Hyped About Our Savior).  This class will meet each week in our new student lounge located near the Amphitheatre.   This week they will be going to eat at 6:00 for a meet and greet dinner.

Part 2 of the Lukewarm Christian Test
I hope you tuned in last week as we discussed being “A Lukewarm Christian”.  As we complete our 10 question test this week, I want to encourage you to take to heart what your answers were and if you passed or failed.  This test is to help you become more in tune with what God wants each of you to be like and less like a pretender.

Next week will be our “Main Event Welcome Back Night”.  This night will mark the beginning of a new semester for us and it will be time to get pumped up for God.  This night will also be team spirit night and we will make a group photo.  Please be praying for this to be a fantastic night for us to start out the new school semester with.  Invite someone to come with you and be ready to praise God Main Event style.
