As Jesus taught His Disciples what it meant to follow Him in Luke 14, we get the sense by reading these Scriptures the kind of sacrifice needed to be a disciple. The cost to live for Jesus requires the giving of ourselves to His will and His way completely. When Jesus shared this parable, He made it known in order to truly follow Him; we must put Jesus first above all things. This requires total faith in the Savior and a total commitment to keep Him first above all else. This is the way Jesus meant for us to keep our flavor or salt as we share His love with the world.
 
Youth BBQ Luncheon
Thank you so much church family for your support this past Sunday as we raised just over $1000 for our upcoming Mission Trip. Everyone seemed to come out and really help out our youth and we want to say thank you from all of us. Your help is really appreciated.
Mission Miles
With renting 2 vans this summer, we are still needing money for vans and gas. If you would like to make a contribution to help with travel expenses, please mark your offering envelope to “Mission Miles”. Again thank you for all you do for us.

Belk Charity Event Tickets For Sale
We now have Belk tickets for sale for $5.00 each. These tickets are good for a one day only sale at Belk Department store in the Barnes Crossing mall on the morning of May 3rd. If you buy a ticket and make a purchase at the sale you will have an automatic $5 off of your purchase. The sale will be from 6am-10am and your ticket will only be good for this time.

The movie God’s Not Dead is a must see. This past Saturday we had about 23 of our youth group and adults go to Tupelo and watch this movie and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone of any age. It has done very well in the theatre so far and it was a sell out when we went this past weekend. Two thumbs Up!!!!!

Mission Trip Update
We are now less than 2 months away from our Summer Mission Trip. We are currently trying to nail down the final details and complete making all the reservations for our week long trip. We want to ask our church family to begin praying for our safety and our willingness to share Jesus and touch the lives of those we come in contact with while we are away. Our main goal is to share the Spirit of God with others and glorify Him and our church in all we do.
Youth BBQ Luncheon
We are making plans to have a BBQ Luncheon on Sunday April 13th immediately following our morning worship service. All money raised will go towards our Mission Trip expenses. Please help us to reach our goals so we can make this year’s mission trip a success.
