So much of the time it’s easy to get upset at what is going on in the world. There’s destruction, wars, famine and tons of other things that try to steal our peace. If we always focus on what’s going wrong in the world, we can easily become upset. However this Bible verse tells us to respond differently.
This Bible verse tells us to not let our hearts be troubled and to not be afraid. Yes, there are crazy things happening in the world, and yes those things can seem scary and overwhelming at times, but our response as Christians shouldn’t be fear. Jesus promised us peace in this verse. We can choose to live in God’s peace and not be afraid. So if the news and what is going on in the world leaves you scared and feeling afraid, take comfort. You’ve got Jesus on your side and He’s got peace for you when you experience torment and fear! Bro. Brian Welcome Back! This Wednesday night is our “Welcome Back” night. I’m ready to get back into the swing of things. This year I’m praying for changed hearts and new students to accept Christ as their savior. Please be in prayer for a great night of worship, music and games. We will start at 6:45PM. Hope to see you there. ---------------------------------------------- Big Church Night Out! Not only is it good to share with others when they are struggling or need encouragement but also to remind us how powerful our God is. Here’s a few of my favorite scripture verses…
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. B2SB This Wednesday night we will have a “Back to School Bash”. I will have us an inflatable water slide set up behind the gym. We will have hot dogs, chips and some sweets to eat.
