How many times have you been to a store and bought some can foods? The only way to know what is in the can is by reading the label wrapped around it. What if you were looking to buy a can of mixed fruit and you found a can without a label? Would you buy it taking the chance that what is on the inside was exactly what you were looking for? Chances are probably not.
The label is what makes the can recognizable to the human eye. Now think about what if someone who you didn’t know came to church and the only thing we had to go by is what we saw on the outside. Consider the facts that when a visitor comes to church they are exactly like a can with no label and until we get them to open up, we are never going to see what is on the inside. Church members put way too much focus on the label they see on the outside and do not want to explore the inner contents. How would this make you feel if you were judged only by what people saw of you on the outside? The lesson we can learn from a can is never judge a book by its cover, a can by its label, and a person by their appearance.

We are just over a week away from taking our Mission Trip to Panama City. We have a busy week planned and we ask for your prayers as we make our final plans and also pray for our students, sponsors, safety, and for God to use us to touch the lives of those we meet.
