Let’s start by looking at an everyday example. If you’re like many teenagers, you probably have a smartphone. All the parts that go into making the smartphone are too complex to just have “happened” one day. Your iPhone didn’t just show up in your living room. It had to be put together…it had to be created. The complexity of the phone shows that it had to have a creator.
In the same way our world is complex. The trees, the oceans, animals and people that make it up are way too complex to just have “happened”.
We can see that there was evidence of a creator in the world around us, but it is up to us to choose to believe that creator was God. There is nothing that 100 percent proves God’s existence. There is no scientific study that proves that God is real. If there was every person would believe God exists. We have to take what we see in creation and read about God in the Bible and we have to choose to believe it. That’s really the definition of faith. The Bible says it like this: By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. (Hebrews 11:3 NIV)
We see evidence of God’s existence all around us every day. The trees, the sun, the birds, all speak of a great creator. When you wonder if God is there or if He really does care about you, stop for a minute and examine the creation around you. God took the time to create each animal and plant and most of all He took time to create you! See you Wednesday!
