John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Proverbs 29:25 (NIV) - Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.
This Wednesday night is our “Welcome Back” night in Main Event. I can’t begin to tell everyone how excited I am to start back with regular services. Please be in prayer for this special night. Our message is entitled “We are the Main Event”. I have done this message before but I have changed things up a little bit. I felt the God tugging at my heart to share some others thoughts. Let’s make this a great year in Main Event. I will see everyone Wednesday at 6:45.
College leaders please wear your “Door Holder” t-shirts and Adults please wear your Main Event t-shirts.
Praise Team Practice Wednesday at 5:45PM
This past Wednesday we had our “Back to School Bash”. We had a great turnout of students. Thanks again for all the help in preparing for this fun night. I know we had over 60 people in attendance. Thank you Lord!!
Going to school isn’t always fun. In fact, it can feel at times like you’re getting teeth pulled. However, putting into action these suggestions will help you make this school year more fun.
I hope all of you have a great first week back at school. I’m praying for y’all. See you Wednesday.
Back to School
This Wednesday August 8th will be our “Back to School Bash”. I have rented a HUGE inflatable water slide that will be set up in the lower parking lot. We will have hot dogs and ice cream. Be sure to invite a friend, especially a friend that isn’t a part of a youth ministry. We will at 6:00PM and go till 8:00PM.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. - John 16:33
1 Corinthians 15:58 - "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labor in the LORD is not in vain."
Sometimes it can be really hard to do your best. Maybe you have a teacher at school who never gives out grades that you feel are fair, so you want to stop even trying. Or perhaps you've got a boss at work who never seems to notice how hard of a worker you are and you're frustrated.
It can be really easy in life to let what others think and say discourage us from doing our best at school or a job. However, we shouldn't be letting other people have the final say in how hard we work.
We should be doing all things for God. So regardless of whether your boss or teachers notice, you should always be doing your best. God notices and he will reward you in time. So challenge yourself to do your best in everything you tackle each day. Take pride inworking hard and you'll be excited to see how far that attitude takes you.
Do it all for

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
"David said to the Phillstine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you I the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." - I Samuel 17:45
A lot of the time when we are up against a situation that seems huge, we look around and see all the reasons why we can’t. Maybe we think that we’re not smart enough, not equipped enough, or don’t have enough money. What we see is our limitation. We see where we don’t measure up and all of our weaknesses.
In the Bible, the army of God was faced with a situation that seemed way bigger than them. They felt too small and unequipped to handle the giant Goliath and his fighting skills. The neat thing about this story is how David viewed the situation. Where everyone in the army of God saw lack and limitation, David saw an opportunity for God’s strength.
In the story of David and Goliath, David chooses to side with God. He trusts that God was going to fight for Him. And because of David’s choice to see possibility instead of limitation, he saw God come through for Him in a major way and win the battle.
You might be facing a situation or problem that seems huge. But today, be encouraged. Just like David, you’ve got a God who loves you and who is fighting on your side. Choose to see your problems as opportunities to see God move in your life.

Our graduation service will be held this Sunday May 6th. If you are setting up a table I will have the tables out in the church foyer this Saturday May 5th. I will also leave the foyer unlocked all day to give you time to work on your tables. We are also asking our church family to bring a covered dish Sunday morning. We will have a church wide luncheon after morning service to honor our grads. I’m looking forward to this service and I am also very proud of our graduates this year.
