We do not have to be ridden with anxiety. Neither should we run scared. We can’t trust! This poem of two old farmers says it well:
Whatcha gonna do if the river overflow?
Sit on the gallery and watch her go.
Whatcha gonna do if your hogs all drown?
Wish I’d lived on higher ground.
Whatcha gonna do if your cow floats away?
Throw in after her a bale of hay.
Whatcha gonna do if your cabin leaves?
Climb up on the roof and straddle the eaves.
Whatcha gonna do when it comes on night?
Trust in God and hold on tight!
But whatcha gonna do if your strength gives way?
Say “Howdy, Lord. It’s Judgment Day!”
