Most of us have been to doctors enough to relate to these new terms!  See if you understand:

- Barium:  What doctors do when patients die
- Cauterize:  Make eye contact with her
- Dilate:  To live longer
- G.I. Series:   World Series of military baseball
- Medical staff:  A Doctor’s cane
- Morbid:  A higher offer than I bid
- Nitrates:  Cheaper than day rates
- Node:  Was aware of
- Pelvis:  Second cousin to Elvis
- Recovery room:  Place to do upholstery
- Terminal illness:  Getting sick at the bus station
- Tumor:  More than once
- Varicose: Nearby/close by
- Vein:  Conceited

Proverbs 17:22…”A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

Dr. John Adams and FBC Family
Mantachie, MS

Thank you very much for the opportunity to be in your morning worship service on Sunday February 27th.  It was a tremendous joy to meet many of you and to experience your hospitality.  Thank you also for the generous offering you gave for World Missions Sunday of $2,553.  Your faithful support will allow us to sustain the existing missionary personnel we have throughout the world, as well as expand into new areas that need to hear the message of Jesus Christ.

Special thanks to Dr. Adams and Ms. Darla for being gracious hosts throughout the day. May God continue to bless the ministry of FBC Mantachie and the work of Dr. Adams through the Moral Action.

Your CoMission Partner,

Dr. John David Smith

Meeting with God

3/8/2011

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4:2

Set a definite time.  With hectic schedules and daily pressures, it’s easy to let the day slip by unless you’ve made an “appointment” with God.  Treat this worship as a meeting you can’t break, and push other items on your list to a later time.

Set a definite place.  It’s best to find a quiet nook or secluded area where you won’t be disturbed.

Establish a definite purpose.  Prepare your heart with Bible study, and come to Him with a desire to build a relationship.  If you ask Him, God will give you a growing passion to know Him more.  Then time with God will be time you won’t want to miss.

Our Youth Become Adults

3/3/2011

Adults watch with interesting eyes as our kiddos become teens and our teens become young adults - often with misty eyes and a lump in our throat.  This letter is a good example of how our kids grow as II Peter says
“Grow in grace”.

             FBC Church Family,

I have been meaning to write this for a long time, but
Just haven’t made the time until now.  I want to thank
every one of you for the continual support, whether
financially, prayerfully, or through encouraging words. I
still struggle with not having my sweet Mom (Kathy)
here, but she raised me in an incredible church
with people who love our Heavenly Father and each other.
I ask that you would continue praying for me.  I know our
Lord is sovereign and has big plans for my life.  Thank you
           all again.
                        Much love,
                        Kerri Stephens
